Dear National Federations,
The Australian Olympic Committee is calling for expressions of interest for the position of Combat Sports Team Leader for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
This Team Leader will be responsible for the four ‘combat’ sports; Boxing, Judo, Taekwondo and Wrestling, however each sport will still have their respective coaches aligned to them, (based on available accreditations).
Attached is a Call for Expressions of Interest along with the Application Form, to be completed and returned to Kylie.Algie@olympics.com.au by the 17th November.
It is anticipated that the successful applicant will be required to travel with the Teams in 2015 to familiarise themselves with all the combat sports, as well as be involved in any high performance camps in Australia. The Team Leader will be the sole point of contact between all four sports and the AOC in respect of Rio preparations and planning.
I would ask that you share this email within your networks as soon as possible, ensure it is posted on your website and distributed to all state associations and any high performance committees you may have.
